There are many good restaurants and fast food places located in and near Wild Country. Just to the north on Highway 6, you find Pop's Catfish House, featuring delicious Mississippi catfish. In Cisco and Eastland you will find just about any kind of food you want at one of the good dining places there.

Convenience stores, grocery stores, automotive repair shops, propane, a super Walmart, video stores, a movie theatre, a summer dinner theatre, and a hospital are all located within 5 - 7 miles of our resort.
In Cisco you will find a wonderful, shaded ¼- mile walking track in a safe location for the entire family. Both Cisco and Eastland have museums and good city parks with swimming pools, picnic tables, covered pavilions, and playground equipment. Three nine-hole golf course are within short driving distances from Wild Country, one in Cisco, and two in the Eastland area. |
| We are located in the heart of the "Bible Belt" and, nearby, you will find almost any denomination church you can name - as well as non-denominational churches. We have visited many of the local area churches and have been graciously welcomed at all of them by very friendly people.
Eastland County is the home of some the most hospitable people you will ever meet! There are a multitude of convenience stores within a very short distance of the park, as well as service stations, propane, and automotive repair and tire shops. |

Three close by lakes provide a multitude of water sports - fishing, water skiing, boating, and swimming. And you cannot find better hunting anywhere. Each year, Eastland County is inundated with hunters from all around the state due to the abundant deer, dove and turkey bounty.
The Great Santa Claus Bank Robbery
A musical about an actual Texas historical event "The Great Santa Claus Bank Robbery" that took place in Cisco, TX on December 23, 1927.
It will be played at our Big Country Dinner Theatre located at the Hilton Community Center in Cisco, TX.
The dates are June 29, 30, July 6 - 8, 12 - 15, & 19 - 21.
Reservations are required, and this play was a sellout the first time it played here. This colorful story has been made into a bluegrass/gospel musical and will be performed at the dinner theatre in the first ever Hilton hotel, located in Cisco. The hotel has been renovated by a grant from the Hilton Foundation with a Conrad Hilton museum upstairs, and a dinner theatre downstairs. A wealth of Texas history is covered in the musical production and in the museum. And you can also drive to the places in town where these events occurred. The building that housed First National Bank still stands in Cisco. A historical marker in Eastland (10 miles away) even marks the spot where they hung Santa Claus.
